realme Band - Review

Realme Band is one of the best smart bands I've ever used and I would personally suggest you buying it if you have a budget of Rs. 1499.

Currently available Color Variants and Watch Faces
As shown in the above image, it's available in three color variants and provides you with many watch faces (currently 5) but I'm sure they are going to give more of these with upcoming updates.
It's quite a light machine and you don't have to worry about saving it from water or sweat as its IP68 Water Resistant.

Its other main features are:-
  • Incoming Calls Alert - Initially this feature had some problem but after the latest update, this works quite well now.
  • Idle Alert
  • Alarm Clock - This is useful only if you are awake and want an alarm reminder to do some work. If you want that it should wake you up, I don't think three small vibrations can't do that.
  • Message Notifications -  SMS, as well as APP Notifications, are available.
  • Drink Reminder - Its an hourly reminder with a message: Drink Water.
  • Heart Rate Monitor - This is the best feature and as per my experience it is quite accurate. It can be set to "Auto" or "Manual". Setting the Auto mode, your heart rate will be recorded every 5 min.
  • DND Mode - The Do not Disturb mode.
  • Sports Mode - You can choose which sports activities you want on your band. There are 9 of them available on this device. They are as follows:-
    • Walk
    • Climbing
      • Cricket
      • Run
      • Bike
      • Hiking
      • Fitness
      • Spinning
      • Yoga
    • Raise to wake up - Raising up your hand will wake up the band, so you don't have to touch the function key again and again. You can set sleeping hours so this automatically turns off and won't turn on when you are asleep.
    • Auto recognize sport status
    • My Goal  - Set your daily steps goal. The default is 8000 steps.
    • Brightness - You can control the brightness of the screen as per your wish. It has a separate Night Brightness Setting also.
    • Screen Rotation - Turn the screen from portrait mode to landscape mode and vice versa.
Then you have some common settings:-
    • Unit Settings
    • First Day of the week
    • Sync to other service providers
    • Device Update
    • Reboot Device
    • Mac Address
Coming to the Review - It is a very good device and you can't expect more than this in just Rs. 1499. Its battery life is 7 days if you keep the 'Heart Rate Monitor' always on(automatic setting). And 9 days if that's off. It provides you with a 0.96-inch colored display which is very good for indoors while it's too dull under direct sunlight. The strap quality is quite good and they are removable straps. About the charing, it can be charged using any normal USB mobile adapter or a power bank. You don't need to carry any separate charging cable like the Mi Bands. Directly Plug-it. Overall its a good deal and I would suggest you, go for it.

Comparision - Few people may compare the realme Band to the Mi Band 4 because both of them have got a color display. And then the Mi Band will win because of its AMOLED screen which works well even under direct sunlight, unlike the realme Band. But please note that there's a price difference of Rs. 800 between the two. So they cannot be compared.
For the sake of comparison, it's better to keep Mi Band 3 against it. As they have almost the same price range. But since that one has a black and white display, it's better not to choose it over the realme Band. So we see that this device is not comparable to any other and is the best in its segment.
